Au sujet du capitaine John Houston Craige

Lecteur de Moreau de Saint-Méry, Thomas Madiou et Louis-Joseph Janvier, le capitaine(US Marines) John Houston Craige (24 juil. 1886–14 août 1954), est surtout connu pour deux livres lors son service dans la gendarmerie d’Haïti pendant l’occupation (1915–1934): Black Bagdad (1933) et Cannibal Cousins ​​(1934). Après son passage en Haïti, Craige a exercé les fonctions de directeur des relations publiques des Marines. Il a écrit plusieurs autres livres, notamment What the Citizen Should Know about the Marines (1941), Guide to the United States Armed Forces (1942), and The Practical Book of American Guns (1950).
